What is the cost of this service?
We charge no listing fees and no commission fees and never will. That is our pledge to you. We also provide free image hosting and will feature your auction within its category for free as well! Go ahead and your list your item(s) for sale, it costs you nothing.
Are there any hidden fees?
There is a one time verification fee to determine you are who you say you are, to establish and promote trust in the marketplace. However, this fee will be waived if you LIKE US on facebook by going to the following link and clicking the LIKE button: Auction Fire's Facebook Page. After you click the like button please read the instructions on that page for getting your verification fee waived.
Additionally we do have some fee-based services such as the Seller's Ad-Vantage and Importing Feedback, but these are completely optional and are aimed at seller's who wish to promote their sales at a reasonable cost.
Do I need a credit card or bank account to join?
Yes, you do, otherwise we have no way of verifying your identity on our system and we are determined to fight fraud to keep the marketplace clean and attractive to buyers/bidders
Right now our verification system goes thru the paypal payments portal, but you do not have to be a registered paypal user, if you don't want to join paypal you can simply pay the verification fee with a valid credit card. See above on how to get your verification fee waived.
Why am I unable to log-in even though I have registered?
After registering, an email is delivered to the address you provided us with. To finalize your registration, you must click on the verification link sent to your email, so we know that email address belongs to you.
If you are unable to login be sure to carefully check your spelling.
Why do I have to repeatedly log in during the same session?
If you are having trouble
remaining logged in it is typically a COOKIES issue. COOKIES are data packets stored on your computer and enable you to stay logged in from one screen to the next. Check your browser security settings. Medium security allows you to accept all first party cookies, and that is what you should be set at. You should enable sending/receiving first party cookies or else you will not be remembered and you will be prompted to re-login on nearly every page of our website.
We do not set third party cookies in your browser as we consider this a form of unwanted spam which we do not engage in.
I did not receive my password, what should I do?
Your welcome email should arrive to your email box within minutes of your registration. If you are using some kind of anti-spam protection be sure you are able to receive email from admin@auctionfire.com. Disable any kind of blocking you might have or else add admin@auctionfire.com as one
of your friends so that we can send you your verification link. If you do not receive your welcome email within an hour you should request a temporary password by
clicking here. You will then be able to change your password after logging in.
I forgot my password. How do I retrieve it?
You can retrieve your password and have it sent to the email address with which you registered by clicking here.
How can I change my user information?
You can change your address, phone number, email, password, and more., from the Change Registration page.
You may not change your real name or paypal account as these were part of the all important verification process. If your paypal address or real name has changed please register a new account at auctionfire.
How do I import my feedback rating from another auction site?
If you have established a good reputation at another auction site, it will benefit you to import that rating over to our site. We will also link to your other feedback cards.

How do I know I won't get ripped off?
It is our mission to provide you with a safe marketplace. We have a strict verification process that validates a seller's real name and email address. You may check a seller's feedback from prior transactions by clicking on the number in parenthesis that appears next to his or her name or by using
our search feedback link . If a seller has zero feedback and the auction price seems too good to be true please proceed with common sense and caution. It is a good idea to use paypal to make payment since they verify sellers and will provide many forms of consumer protection. Sending a moneygram out of the country for a laptop computer at a ridiculously low price is a definite red flag for fraud! Also cars and vehicles are an avenue of fraud if they are asking for moneygram's or greendot payments and a promise to deliver the car. How fast is this site growing?
We get dozens sometimes even hundreds of new user registrations daily. Right now we are focusing on Facebook as an excellent marketing hub. We are offering to waive the verification fee in exchange for liking us on Facebook. This gains us visibility to more Facebook users so that we can attract new buyers and sellers. Additionally after listing an auction a seller is prompted to advertise their auction on their Facebook page with a single mouse click.
