LOS ANGELES - December 25, 2002 -- Having recently become the only online auctions website to provide
an 'Infinite Automatic Re-list' tool for sellers, Auction Fire has
established itself as one of the most innovative services in its'
sector. 'Infinite Automatic Re-list' enables sellers to have their
auctions run perpetually and automatically thus minimizing the time the
seller spends administrating his or her listings. It is particularly
useful if the seller has multiple quantities of inventory or if an
auction received no winning bids. In the latter case by using the
Infinite Automatic Re-list in conjunction with reserve pricing, a
seller can dictate their own price and wait for the market to meet that
price without having to spend additional time or money creating
additional auctions.
"Our goal is to attract more sellers to our site, to build up the
number of listings, thus making the market more attractive to buyers,"
says Auction Fire CEO, Aaron Bradley. "Many sellers asked for the
automatic re-list option, and we went one step further with the
infinite re-list. Some sites allow you to re-list your auction 3, 5,
or maybe even 12 times, but they stop re-listing when there is a
winning bidder, and they won't re-list infinitely."
At Auction Fire you can specify a finite quantity for re-listing like
at some other sites, or you can go with the infinite re-list. You may
also specify whether the re-list terminates if there is a winning
bidder or not.
"Basically we are giving the sellers a lot of power and control over
their listings on our site, in an effort to make things more efficient
for them," Bradley explains.
Auction Fire has also introduced its own version of the 'Buy Now'
feature that exists on other auction sites. Their version is
called 'Instant Purchase' and it works in the typical fashion: the
seller can set a price whereby the auction can be ended early if no
bids have been placed yet. Once a bid is placed, Instant Purchase is
no longer applicable and the auction runs its course in the traditional
sense.
"We are excited by these new developments," says Bradley, "and we will
continue to upgrade our software and service as fast as possible to
become a recognized leader in this industry. We are by no means seeking
to imitate eBay, which is obviously far and away the leader, but rather
we seek to form our own identity and unique brand of service."
